This is, BTW, the same playbook that precedes all authoritarian assaults on freedom, civil liberties, individuality, human rights, human dignity, and human life. Before a group can be physically attacked, they must be derided and despised. The violence is always incremental. Unless, there is organized mass resistance, the violence is always inexorable.
