    @iftas@mastodon.iftas.org automated spam on site is one thing. The problem is compounded when federation is involved. The best thing a server admin can do to stem the flow is a registration queue, plus a post queue for all new users. Doing this you'll cut the flow of automated spam entirely. AI bots still make it tricky, but spammers don't tend to spend the money to craft useful responses yet. ... Yet.
