Way too many Americans in 2024 made abundantly clear that they would not vote for a black, female candidate. What are the odds that this cohort will have grown a spine and moral compass in 2028. I don’t feel very optimistic about the US electorate

@gjkroese@mastodon.social A whole shitload of Americans (myself included) had no problem whatsoever with a Black, female candidate. We had issues with a candidate who refused to consider the possibility of ending Biden's policy of breaking American laws to continue funding the genocide in Gaza, in addition to a bunch of cozying up to "the right" rich people. I voted for her anyway, but I know many people who didn't. Neither her race nor her gender had anything to do with the decisions of anyone I know.
