@CodingItWrong@oldbytes.space My first time iinstalling grapheneos I used an older phone, to see if I liked it.
My older phone running GrapheneOS was much quicker than my pretty new phone running vendor stock crapware.
Now I only buy phones that can support GrapheneOS, and I install it on day one.
I have had great experiences with GrapheneOS. But I suppose low level OS replacement is always nerve wracking on a primary device.
I'll pass on the advice I received - follow the instructions carefully, and don't skip any steps.
And only bother with adding any alternate profiles later. I've seen people quick GrapheneOS who should have just never enabled profiles.
You're getting a huge privacy boost out of switching at all, and profiles can always be added later.
One more tip: If an app you trust doesn't run, look in "Settings / Apps / (App Name)” and scroll down to "Exploit Protection". There's usually am exception that will make any app work - it's just a matter of deciding whether I trust the app author enough to allow the exception.

@EdTheDev@infosec.exchange thank you! My pixel is actually my secondary phone, so that’s nice that it’s okay if I run into temporary issues
