we had rain!! 🙇 still (lots) more heatwave to come, but at least things have had a drink. (as an aside: i've been very worried about the totoro tree (and friend), given we've had about 2 hours of rain in the past 2 months. but husband said that actually our fosse (septic tank) waters it! it's a system of several tanks that filter things, and clean water flows out of the last one. and the only place it can go is under the lane / down the hill, so it's sure to reach the trees' roots. which is some decent compensation for the fact that i have to pee about every 30 seconds. i'm (indirectly) watering trees!)
