@Migueldeicaza@mastodon.social I respect @glyph@mastodon.social for maintaining ethical standards. It makes me wish I had not crossed the line by ever using an LLM in the first place. I can't claim that I ever did so out of *need*.

@matt@toot.cafe @Migueldeicaza@mastodon.social to be clear I have done a ton of research myself with them, and I still have accounts with the major providers. I do not think that maintaining absolute purity has any particular virtue that we need to celebrate. The harms are ongoing, diffuse, extremely indirect, and massively widespread, so we are all a little dirty regardless of our personal choices.
