Looking for advice on reporting illegal apartment and abusive landlord behaviour in Toronto - suggestions and tips welcome. I’ve never had to navigate this and her English is not strong, so want to provide good support.

2/2 A family friend has had to leave her apartment after two weeks without hot water and refusal to fix, and refusal to return deposit, plus racist responses to her concerns. She also said the landlady has more tenants in bad conditions in basement apartment too. Yikes. #toronto #apartments
