@SquirrelwithaninvisibleW@mastodon.social I spend waaaay too long wondering how my self-image relates to my image to others (and to the truth). So many pitfalls for the hard-of-confidence.

@Gaolaitch@cupoftea.social Absolutely. And I suspect you have a much harsher view on yourself than say I, or a complete stranger would have of you. What people don’t realise is there’s not great quality control measures on overthinking, or even much basis in reality oftentimes. Hence good ol’ spiralling, the most insular and invisible of self harms. And of course, those with deceptive motives don’t overthink it, or think it enough. Truly, ignorance can often be bliss ❤️
