Was talking on the phone to my friend because he hates his life and his job wages. I tried to explain the ripple effect of the new 2,100 Microsoft H1B visas being injected into our local economy, but he can't create a mental model at scale. He just kept defaulting to "but they're not (directly) taking my (specific) job (this morning)."
