First fire season at the new house, and the first big fire. I'm sitting here with WatchDuty, a browser window open on a fire cam, and a scanner feed. While also watching the Tour de France of course. The fire's well away from us but we're keeping an eye on it.

So far it's gone from nothing to an estimated 1000 acres in three house. 75 to 1000 in the last hour. They have air tankers from Redding and eastern Washington doing drops. Normally there would be tankers stationed here but for some reason they wern't.
