So far it's gone from nothing to an estimated 1000 acres in three house. 75 to 1000 in the last hour. They have air tankers from Redding and eastern Washington doing drops. Normally there would be tankers stationed here but for some reason they wern't.

There was a radio message from dispatch enumerating the people and equipment on the way. Trucks, crews, dozers, water tanker trucks, etc. They mentioned that the order for overhead hasn't been filled yet. They used the same term in the '80s when I was on fire crew. I always found it amusing that the management team for big fires is explicitly called overhead.
