July 9-12: Found Festival presents performing arts in unusual places (mostly around Old Strathcona, some downtown). Theatrical shows are $24 or pay what you can. Most music events are free. July 10-11: Ravenwood Music Festival at Broadmoor Lake Park (Sherwood Park) has mostly local but excellent roots, rock & blues bands, including what's sure to be a poignant finale set from Captain Tractor. $99/adult weekend pass (kids free). July 10-12: Whyte Avenue Art Walk with hundreds of artists taking over the streets of Old Strathcona, plus 3 stages of musicians playing for your tips: at the McIntyre Park gazebo, in the South Bark lot, and new this year, a Filipino-focused stage on 83 Ave near El Cortez. July 11: Edmonton Jerk Festival in Queen Mary Park, celebrating Jamaican & Caribbean food & culture. 12-8pm.

July 10-12: Uptown Blues Jam Summer Festival is a full weekend of jamming at a camp & festival ground near Stony Plain. $27 weekend admission, with meals as an add-on. July 11-12: Rockin' Thunder Music Festival at the Exhibition Lands Racetrack, with a millennial-focused CanRock line-up. $309/2-day general admission. July 13-26: The Magpie Collection: A Dance Festival at/near Mile Zero Dance includes classes, performances, parties, and a bike tour that stops to watch site-specific shows. $25 or less for individual events, $120 full festival pass. July 16-26: Taste of Edmonton takes over Churchill Square, with restaurants from around the city trying to tempt you with tiny tidbits. Music stage runs 5-10pm every night with youth groups then assorted great local bands, plus festival headliners Econoline Crush on opening Thursday and 54-40 on the final Saturday.
