Communication is difficult.
I asked politely our vacation hosts, if they could pick us up at the railway station, but we should be able to use the bus if not.
"Sure thing! But we only have a small car!"
This implies for me, that we might have limited space.
I replied, that we are 4 persons and amount of our luggage and if that does not fit, we take the bus.
"Well our car is not THAT small! But sure, take the bus"
Sounds a bit offended for me. I don't know.

@stelb@mastodon.social Seems to Me they didn't really want to pick y'all up. If the car isn't too small to accommodate all then why not then say, "Sure, no problem, we'll fit everyone and thing just fine!" Vacation HOSTS and they are flippant about making sure/helping the Guests to reach the actual vacation (spot, that is in fact, 'their spot'?) is confusing, bizarre to Me. I'd feel uncomfortable from that moment on, like they don't want Me/my party there at all. Did you get there? Did you enjoy the vacation? I hope so.
