If the car isn't too small to accommodate all then why not then say, "Sure, no problem, we'll fit everyone and thing just fine!" Vacation HOSTS and they are flippant about making sure/helping the Guests to reach the actual vacation (spot, that is in fact, 'their spot'?) is confusing, bizarre to Me. I'd feel uncomfortable from that moment on, like they don't want Me/my party there at all. Did you get there? Did you enjoy the vacation? I hope so.
