@danielskatz@fediscience.org pitirre. We have a saying: "A cada guaraguao le toca su pitirre" - every chicken hawk is assigned a gray kinggbird. Guaraguao prey on smaller birds, but the pitirre is very territorial and agile, and will peck and fly circles around the hawk, chasing them away. You've seen more birds in your few days here than I recall seeing, and I've lived most of my life on the island. Thank you for sharing these pictures.
