Question for people who went to big music events in the 1970's:
My mum did this. But she can't remember how she got the tickets. Was there a phone number? How did you pay? Was it a cheque in the post and hope they still had tickets left?
Her memory has completely gone about it but I'm hoping the people of the Fediverse might have some experience and memories that might help.

@miffyhelen@beige.party @dianea@lgbtqia.space i was born in the 70s, and i can vaguely remember visiting a local record shop a couple of times when mom wanted tickets to something. also recall what i think was a nascent ticketmaster selling tickets across the service counter at a department store (l.s. ayres or block's maybe?) for some shows.
