@EllenInEdmonton@yeg.bike yes I would generally choose that but there are no buses here(very sad for many reasons) and I haven't seen any taxis. Uber flat out says no rides available, and Lyft says limited availability and charges $95 for a vehicle that might fit a bike(twice the call out fee for the tow truck with the insurance).

@EllenInEdmonton@yeg.bike although someone who works here did offer me a ride (or a road bike tube that doesn't match the bike I have unfortunately) part of the way and if I was willing to take more risks/depend on the kindness of strangers more/go really far out of my way I might have been able to cobble together a multiple hour journey to the closest bike shop for much cheaper.
