@JaxVent@lgbtqia.space at any rate, the best way I learn is first doing the basics with tutorials and a starter project. Then taking an existing project and changing some things in it. TypeScript is also very popular these days but the tooling can be confusing. Go is nice and more scripty but structured. Personally, I've learned with PHP (awful but great). Of course OG C++ or modern Rust if you want to get seriously serious. Might be overwhelming though. You have some areas of interest? Web, CLI, apps, etc.?
