Hey all.
I've always been interested in learning to code properly. I can use VBA sufficiently well as that's all i've been required to use in my work.
I'm thinking now is a good time to learn something else and get good at it, without any AI or 'vibe' coding. I think there's about to be a need for more people who can code properly.
Anyway, what would be the best one to learn? I'm a little overwhelmed by all the choices! No particular career path in mind yet, so all recommendations welcome. Thanks!

@JaxVent@lgbtqia.space not sure anyone else will agree and it's quite dependent what you want to learn. For venturing into code more seriously Python is a solid choice. I find though, that due to its flexibility many new developers adopt bad practices and later work harder to adapt and do things properly. In "higher" programming languages the learning curve is steeper though. So maybe Python but seek out tutorials which focus on proper Object Oriented Programming (OOP). That might be a good middle ground.
