Has Marvel ever explained the physics behind Pym Particles enough to explain why Ant-Man couldn’t defeat Thanos by flying into his arse while tiny, then growing to giant size?
I wouldn’t think so. Not because of needing to make an explicit acknowledgement of the joke, but due to hand waving writing.

@Shards@kind.social Pym Particles work on the rule of cool. Marvel makes references to it just being the space between subatomic particles being reduced, so when small he’s still the same mass. But the inverse is not shown to be true. When big he should blow away in the wind, or be shredded by the other ambient molecules flying between his atoms. Instead we get what makes the coolest picture, sans science. You just need to get enough people writing on staff who think it would be cool. So probably The Boys
