Democratic Socialists and other progressives seem to be dead set against #AI which I find incompatible with the whole concept of being progressive. Anti-AI bias like this seems more reactionary than anything else, which would seem to fall more into the conservative mindset. Now, yes, we do need massive oversight of an extremely powerful technology, so that's what we need to be advocating rather than any sort of shift away from AI, which just isn't going to happen.
