even though I'm not an "EDC" enthusiast I've been having a lot of fun learning how to use this pair of Emisar D4V2 lights...
The brass one on the left has 2x red LEDs (SST-20), and 2x 1800K (warm) LEDs so it's great for my nightstand.
The right one is aluminum and has 2x Nichia 519A 5700K, and 2x 519As at 3500K so I can interpolate between those temperatures.
I really want an ultraviolet one now for my mineral collection...
I don't really know anything about LEDs. I only know that these devices are fun to fiddle with. I'm waxing the brass one to hopefully delay any tarnishing lol

@kern@hol.ogra.ph no way, i also just got a d4v2 after seeing this thread about 720nm red leds (https://bsky.app/profile/wolf.observer/post/3moodxyud5k2t) it does sorta eschew utility for the novelty of "oh my god its so red" but also oh my god its so red
