@jmaris@eupolicy.social Don't you think the amendment is only symbolic? 1.0 is voluntary. Services which provide end to end encryption won't implement it anyway.

@Hashira@privacysafe.social yes, but it sets a precedent for chatcontrol 2, and the Council might refuse to adopt it. In addition, this could neutralise some of the Commission's attempts to undermine the encryption exemption in chatcontrol 2
