I wish there was a way for a company that wanted to confirm your identity online to like bounce you to a government operated website, the government would confirm who you are (with your ID or something) then bounce you back. Ideally with the government not actually knowing who it confirmed your ID to. Like an OAUTH flow for identity. I'm not thinking about adult websites. I'm thinking about KYC for banking, advertising, and a hundred smaller things. I'd estimate 30 companies have my passport.
