@Bruce Because it's easier to attack the person than to defend a position, or even just to say nothing at all. Whenever the comment is about the person rather than the moral code, the discussion has to end just because it's pointless, it becomes an expression of emotion rather than a conversation. Personally, I don't see the point of expressing emotions, especially online.
