@Bruce @mcourcel It's not about Winnipeg specifically but I was surprised to read that it was more or less routine, even in the 20s and 30s, for people to faint from the heat in theaters, and the theaters had rooms in which people who overheated could go to vomit, and where they were expected to do that. The heat is quite bad now, as we can all tell, but it used to have worse effects. https://celalibrary.ca/node/1504844
