Probably fair to say it's not a gaming machine, given that the AMD GPU has 1/3 of the VRAM of the Nvidia 1060 that's in my actual gaming PC, and struggles to run Planet Crafter at medium 1080, where my MacBook can run it at Ultra 1440. But, y'know, it's an all-in-one Apple desktop from 13 years ago, running as smoothly as if it were brand new. I'm pretty bloody happy with it, tbh. Now to figure out how to use it to run my radio show...

Oh, and for anyone wondering why I chose a gaming-focused distro for a computer that is not a gaming computer: because it's Arch for normies. Mostly, I want a PC that can run Plasma 6.7, because it can switch virtual desktops indepently of each other, the way macOS does. Kubuntu and Debian, my other distros of choice, are far more conservative with regards to newer packages. CachyOS being essentially a pre-configured Arch means it gets the freshest, newest, most broken packages. Besides, I have CachyOS on my gaming PC, and I like it. It does all the driver setup for me so all I have to is download the software I want and set things up. There might be a better distro for my needs, but CachyOS does for me.
