If your charity runs a lottery you can forget ever getting a donation from me.
I'm sure that doesn't mean much to you, but it feels important to say.

@Kneewax@fosstodon.org I have very strong (autocorrect said strange - that's also true ) views on gambling but - hands up - I take part in the lottery for Tinnitus UK. Why? It seems like a pain free way of making a very small regular donation with a miniscule chance of getting something back. I don't think I've ever won anything. I'm certain that if asked to drop the same amount just for a donation I wouldn't do it. (I think that the minimum amount for their lottery has increased significantly since I joined it years ago) I'd love to know how much is creamed off by the organisation that runs these lotteries but it's impossible to find out.
