It was tongue in cheek, and _mostly_ me needling Guy, whom I’ve known for years, and am fully aware has lived in Canada on and off for a very, very long time.
I also think it’s a little rich accusing me — an outspoken advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, and constant critic of American government (and America in general!) — as being a typical American white guy.
But, in the end, glad I could serve an alleyoop for you to dunk on me.

I only thought it worth mentioning how this "inhabitable" argument can sound to people reading you who are not from America, and are not white. + I genuinely appreciate you, I know you're an outspoken advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, and I know y'all hate the US government (I'm a long-time ATP subscriber 🥲). But I don't understand how that contradicts the possibility that you can still have white American male biases in the jokes you're making on a public platform.
