I was refinishing some reproduction M1 Garand furniture and made a little fucky-wucky.
Since its not original I wanted to do tung oil instead of linseed oil so I can easily tell it apart from my Navy Garand and I noticed I had a can of the stuff despite having a distinct memory of using the last of my tung oil last fall. Welp, applied a coat which seemed very thin after mixing with 1 part mineral spirits, and then noticed it was nearly entirely dry when I checked on it after just six hours.

Looked closer at the can, somehow I ended up with a "tung oil finish" thats MOSTLY tung oil and mineral spirits with a bit of something varnish-like. I wiped it down with mineral spirits and 0000 steel wool but now I need to decide whether to put pure tung oil on, or just put a couple more coats of the "finish".
