@CelloMomOnCars@mastodon.social even most of the streets in central Leiden that technically do allow cars have very few cars: mostly just deliveries and services (plumbers, painters etc) and the occasional elderly person The intersections have installation holes for poles that can be inserted or removed to block cars while allowing bikes or golf carts. The poles will be present on more streets when higher amounts of visitors are expected. They can be quickly removed to allow access for ambulances, fire trucks etc.
