And it's really that simple. When you allow oversight of your decisions, you have some measure of protection because the oversight, an independent review, was part of the process.
Alternatively, when you are the final decision and signature on everything WITHOUT OVERSIGHT, don't expect anyone to blame but YOURSELF.
It's leadership 101 and US #Republicans obviously failed #math before they could get that far in basics of #politics.

The judge will ask the US Government in the Reflectiing Pool case against US citizens, if the paint was peeling prior to the citizens touching it and if that is so, why the government didn't secure the public space with fencing and signage to prevent the public from access or exposure to a failed Government contract? The judge will then wait for the Government to explain a bad project with zero oversight. #CNN #NoKings
