@maypop @delta@chaos.social when doing native apps as deltachat, being integrated in the system, having its look&feel, there is no option other than LiquidGlass soon with iOS 27.
good news, however is that apple itself will tweak a lot wrt LiquidGlass in iOS 27 - they seem to listen to feedback as yours :) iirc, there are system options to tune it down massivly
ftr, i personally could have lived without LiquidGlass as well :)

@delta@chaos.social @r10s@mastodon.social well i guess i hope apple can finally undo the other ui enshittification they've done over time (such as changing the text editing options to have a stupid animation that forces you to wait before you can interact with it. uuuugh ui animations i hate them. sorry im annoying)

@r10s@mastodon.social @maypop@bark.wolp.chat @delta@chaos.social I can think of many apps that don't have liquid coming out of their glass: Uber, Lime, Dott, Discord, Bitwarden, DB Navigator... Adopting a bad design - unless using SwiftUI - is a choice.
