my weekend so far: drove to South Wales with telescope and tent, failed to put up the tent as I didn't bring a pump, failed to put up the telescope as I didn't bring the mount. Fixed the window in a cottage, and trapped and released a spider named Frank, played drafts against a 10y old (I won, and then felt guilty and I won again, I really tried hard the third time and finally lost), we slept in on Saturday and I popped into Hay-on-Wye and bought cider for EMF Camp (in plastic, so safe to bring, but made locally), and I bought a book. Went to Brecon as we hired a boat, and we had picnic on the boat whilst I navigated a canal. Went wild swimming under a bridge, caught butterflies to identify (and released them), took the boat back, and walked around Brecon. Stopped at a farm shop on the way back and bought fresh veg via an honesty box. Made dinner of fish and veg, watched the football with my bestie's family, stayed up late chatting with my bestie. Sunday slept in, and then went to Hay for tea and bought the "How to teach your dog Welsh" book. Went climbing, had lunch, drove home... got a flat tyre, afternoon tea from the service station awaiting tyre fitter... now home, rice and tofu, and the tennis whilst I start planning EMF planetarium conversation tomorrow. A busy weekend.
