Why don't electric cars have solar panels in the roof? The amout of time most cars spend either driving in daylight or parked in daylight would certainly renew some of their charge.

@eobeara@mastodon.ie for sure I'm wrong but I assumed the additional weight of the solar panels would negate any gains, but I'm thinking of 20 year old solar panels, I bet panels nowadays must be lighter
