Huge government outlay, community/industry feedback periods, prolonged equipement procurement. Creation of a crown corporation, massive federal subsidy for 15-20 years and then it'll be privatized for pennies/dollar by a Conservative government looking to make a buck in time for an election cycle.

@tezoatlipoca@mas.to @ocratato@discuss.systems Yeah, if Canadians want to keep anything public, we're going to have to grant partial title and joint administration to the local Indigenous nations, with treaties that ensure it takes longer to fight through courts to sell any of it off than the possible longevity of the next term of Privatization Party misgovernance.
