I don't know if I'd call my criticism of the present state of tech "pessimism," because I am also determined to do what I can to counter what is happening, and I will not default into what is easiest and let the things I hate win. Pessimism implies I think it's impossible for things to get better. I don't think that's true, although I do recognize how hard it will be to change expectations. All i can do is continue voicing my thoughts on the matter in the hope that they resonate with someone or get someone else thinking about if they really are okay with letting things continue this way. We can't just ignore problems and expect them to go away or get better. We need to shift expectations or at least keep people aware of the validity of alternative frames of mind.
