A bunch of instances are being scraped -- Ive been playing whack-a-mole by blocking CIDR ranges, UAs, etc. The bots are now coming from single IPs / scrape, which makes it a lot harder to stop. I just patched my version of mastodon to require authentication for the HTML view of the tags URI, which was the path that the abusers are taking. if they pivot to the federated API, it'll be a lot harder to stop. https://waffles.yttrx.com/posts/gate-hashtag-page-behind-auth/ #MastoAdmin
