When we move back in, we're thinking of setting up a wargaming/gaming table on the cheap. Ideally, we want a 6 ′ × 4 ′ playing surface (6 ′ × 3 ′ if that's too big). So I figured a 180 cm long folding table with a hard plastic top and steel legs, fairly light weight. Then we extend that area with 2 MDF sheets, each 4 ′ × 3 ′ (or 3 ′ × 3 ′). To stop them bowing, I thought 4 wood strengthening beams screwed below, with duct tape edges to stop scuffs. Should be light and cheap. Any thoughts?
