It's well worth it if you ask me. The school children can sit in the dark and hot/cold (delete as appropriate) so Bob in Idaho can generate a 30 second video of Yoda dancing to Wannabe in the style of Studio Ghibli, which he will look at once and then never again.

I know you are doing memes here, but I’d like to point out that the AI’s output (in a big tech “human replacement” situation) isn’t the end product, it is merely marketing, propaganda of the “ultimate solution”, worthy of throwing all the computing power in the world at it, at the expense of you ever owning any. It’s mimicry so impressive, you are no longer even worthy to touch the same brush, to hum the same tune, to stroke the same ink upon the page. They will take it from you for you simply do not understand. After all, how could you?
