@madeindex@mastodon.social I very rarely hear anything like "let the state and corporations continue leading us down the path to authoritarianism" from people who don't take an active pro-privacy stance.
What I *do* hear rather a lot though is an argument about convenience, "it's what I have always used", "they already have all my data anyway", "it's impossible to not use ", and so on.
And from some cohorts, " isn't perfect so it should never be used".
