The 1 East of Winnipeg is a proper divided highway. But at the time did not have shoulders It now does but with rumble strips to make cycling next to impossible). However this road was luxury compared to the trauma I was about to be submitted to in Ontario.
and that's it for this long day of 265km ! (back then, I had a fixed number of 36 exposure rolls and didn't just take any/all pictures).

@jfmezei@cosocial.ca thank you for posting these. I’m following along intermittently. Do you end up going through Ottawa? If this is a bad question, it’s because I’ve not tried to research your journey at all, I’m just enjoying your comparison photos and observations.
