GTA 5 is playable on Linux and I think on Steam Deck. And even GTA Online, that is part of GTA 5 basically, was playable on Linux. But one day after years, Rockstar said “nah, no online for Linux users anymore” and since then its not functional for us anymore. But the single player campaign is playable. That’s where the confusing messages are about the support. Partly because two different products share a single rating, but also because one part was functional before.
