I get trying to make light of a serious topic might lessen the burden of a thing. I really do. But for fucks sake, when a poor, marginalized woman, with a disability says "fuck, why is life hard" don't be that cis, white, well-to-do stranger who makes light of it. And if you have to make light of it, at least commiserate and share an empathic laugh, not ignore her and just make some self indulgent grab for attention. You can be a complete asshole at open mic night with all the other fucks.
