@rhys@mastodon.rhys.wtf My general feeling is that being defeated by Count Binface would be the optimal outcome in terms of squashing Reform, because it's the most humiliating and the hardest to spin as anything else.

Without an organised and seasoned campaign staff, without national party resources, without funds and without prominent party grandees and public figures... If he could get those things together, perhaps with unoccupied Labour campaigners, celebrities, and some rich benefactors to help support campaign intelligence and materials, I'd think it more likely. It seems like the Greens are going to field a candidate anyway, so likely moot.
