We were checking puffin burrows this week. This involves sticking your arm down a muddy burrow full of puffin crap, with an endoscope, to see if there is a puffin and/or chick staring back at you. You then remove the endoscope and marvel at how your arm is covered in mud, puffin crap, and a swarm of several thousand seabird ticks, which fortunately don't seem to bite humans but.... Ewwwww
