@bobmagicii@phpc.social i went to the bookstore last evening with my wife (who reads a lot) and it's just so overwhelming. I wish I had been an avid reader before and had a stack to go through. I'm 60 or so pages into a book that is basically just murder, gore, and fucking and it's been good despite not really getting into any of those things yet...
I have to figure out what I want to read that isn't a manual or programming documentation lol

@mfrost503@phpc.social i'm a big fan of over the top military fiction. not boring stuff like tom clancy, but more obscure guys like dale brown who wrote an entire series about a retrofit b52 bomber doing things massive b52 bombers should not do because they cant. "flight of the old dog"
