Ooh I knew I'd be slower than the average cyclist, but I'm even slower than my estimate. Oh well, still taking an ice cream break in the heat of the day. It was going to be a beer break, but the beer is a block uphill out of the way and somehow although I'm intentionally biking 60+ miles today that feels too far.

47 miles, 1900 calories burned since lunch, and I was the last one over the border before it closed for the night. It was mostly beautiful, sometimes stunning, sometimes merely picturesque. Now I'm going to pass out.
