I know flats can happen anywhere but I am inclined to blame America for this one. I noticed my tire getting soft about a half mile past a construction site. I walked half an hour to a sporting goods store on a map(and picked up an open pocket knife that was on the side of the road that I might have otherwise biked over, so things could absolutely be worse) where they unfortunately don't sell bike tubes, so I'm waiting at the brewpub next door for a tow truck.

Anyways this brewpub is so cute! I'm drinking a lilac sour at a picnic table with cool breezes and a view of the lake and I might end up buying a poster because their merch is exactly up my alley. I already bought a few stickers. Sometimes travel, particular adventure travel, and particularly attempts at budget adventure travel, means rolling with the punches. I've got Better World Club roadside assistance, so when this happens I've got someone to turn to, like I did road tripping with AAA back when I owned a car. https://www.kraemerandkin.com/

@thesquirrelfish@sfba.social Our motor association offers tow trucks for bikes, but I'd usually choose a bus or a taxi first, given my choices. Thank heavens for brewpubs and cafés, whenever a stop is required!
