If the other parties were smart, they would look for an anti-corruption candidate to rally around and make it clear that's the reason.
The Tories and in particular Kemi Badenoch are too stupid and egotistical to even consider it, and would declare the other parties scared if they encouraged people to hold their noses and vote Tory.
So hopefully there's someone out there prepared to take up that position, besides Count Binface.

Farage may also be doubly screwed and have to contest a second by-election. As his resignation does not stop the investigation or put an end to any rulings by the Standards Committee. They would resume the moment he was sworn in again as an MP. So if the Committee advises the House to suspend him for 10.days or more, the recall petition would still be triggered.
